Dr. med. Jens Meyer was born on October 14, 1970 in Achim, near Bremen and studied medicine science at the Johann Wolfgang Goethe University in Frankfurt am Main. From 1994 to 1995 Dr. Meyer completed, as the first foreign medical student, the 3 year course in Biomedical Sciences at the King`s College in London with the degree "Bachelor of Science " (BSc). Dr. Meyer received a PhD in cardiovascular physiology and published articles in English and American journals.
After finishing a journey round the world, through North and South America, Africa and Australia, Dr. Meyer started his TCM training in 1996 at the WHO Centre for Chinese Medicine in Peking, with both theoretical training and practical application in a traditional TCM Hospital.

With further education at the german doctors association for acupuncture (DÄGfA) and at the Bremer doctors association for
acupuncture and pain therapy (BÄfAS ), Dr. Meyer deepened his knowledge of the Chinese medicine.
Another high point was his stay at the University Sofia near Prof. Dr. Emil Iliev. At the ward there patients are only treated with Chinese medicine. Dr. Meyer continued his training with a focus on pharmacotherapy and diagnosis on the Heidelberger model at the german association for TCM ( DGTCM ) in Heidelberg, the South of France and Portugal.
A special focus of Dr. Meyer`s work is the inner meditative breathing technique (inner Qi Gong) and medical hypnosis. He graduated in training in medical hypnosis at the german association for hypnosis ( DGH ). In addition Dr. Meyer has experience in Far Eastern religions meditation with constant practise. Dr. Meyer acts as lecturer of the DGTCM to train doctors, students and physical therapists. He has an authorization for postgraduate medical education for acupuncture for Medical Chamber in Bremen.
