The success of Chinese Medicine relies on 3000 years of wisdom and knowledge that has been handed down from generation to generation. Chinese Medicine has literally helped millions of people throughout the centuries.
Yin and Yang
The holistic world view of Chinese Medicine depends on Yin and Yang, which are described as two supplementing opposites in Chinese Philosophy. Medically spoken Yin stands for body structure, Yang for body function.
Qi
Qi is floating along certain meridians throughout the entire body. It provides cells, organs and all areas of the human body with life energy.
5 Elements
The 5 cyclic phases of transformation, often called the 5 elements, are describing processes of continuous change. The entire life on earth follows conditional transformations as day turns to night or spring changes to winter. Each phase of transformation has its function and meaning, everything stands in a defined relationship to each other.
Science
By continuous research Chinese Medicine managed to explore relationships of cause and effect to use the findings for medical treatments. Even today Chinese Medicine itself develops further and gets enhanced by modern, scientific methods.
